Library Organization

Posted by Chris DrackettChris Drackett April 2nd, 2010

We’ve just made a pretty big change to how your Library is organized in Shelfworthy. You can see this right away in the sidebar if you are currently logged in.

Library Counts

Before, we displayed your Library based on all the item types you have ever had a relationship to (books, movies, games) and then a count. This count was inclusive; So if you owned a single book and wanted to read 10, your count would have been 11.

From now on your Library count will be the count of things that you own.

Queue

One of the things that Shelfworthy is good for is keeping a list of the things that you want to read, watch or play. We’ve now added a new feature called the Queue that keeps track of these items. You’ll find it in the sidebar. The Queue displays as a list and you can put the items in any order you like. For example move things you want to read first to the top.

Wish List

The Wish List (also in the sidebar) is like the Queue, but shows items that you want to own.

Let us know what you think, and please let us know if you run into issues. As a reminder, to contact us all you need to do is use the feedback form at the bottom of the Shelfworthy site.

We’ve got more updates coming in the next couple of days!

Thanks!

I’m really liking the clarity this brings; much more organized and useful.
