Its rather strange watching this version of the movie after growing up with the Americanized version (Warriors of the Wind). All the voices and some of the dialogue are different, but the scenes and music are the same.
I’ve only found it on VHS, DVD doesn’t seem to exist. After watching this version I do see why they made the changes they did, however it seems to have lost the main message in doing so. A lot wasn’t explained in WOTW, dumbed down for sure, but a bit more entertaining as well.
Well, the Nausicaa version seems to have a slower pace in the way they talk, less expressive and the verbage is different. Maybe it seems that WOTW was more entertaining because I watched it 20+ times as a kid and it didn’t have the same “message” that Nausicaa does, so it wasn’t as thought provoking (for a 9-12yr old).
Makes me want to see the “Americanized” version ;)

How can just the dialog make it more entertaining?
