Probably one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen on TV. I’m a bit worried it’ll make next season overly dark. However, for the good of the show I understand and applaud why the writers killed Rita. I’m not sure how the series could have continued to explore Dexter’s character in new ways if his family situation didn’t change significantly.

One thing I love about this show is how they always seem to find a way to keep the suspense and emotion level so high while still keeping things fresh and interesting.
